Why Don't Your Shirts Ship Inside Plastic Bags?
Every once in a while we get a complaint that our t-shirts were shipped in a plastic shipping label with no additional clear plastic sleeve over the t-shirt. Rarely is this complaint the result of damage to a shirt that would have been prevented by a plastic sleeve. So there are multiple reasons we do not ship the majority of our shirts inside plastic sleeves (every once in a while a supplier sends them like this to us and if that is the case we don't unpack them so it's possible that you'll get a shirt inside a plastic sleeve). The reasons:
- Plastic sleeves are generally required when warehouse environments are dirty. If a shirt is not in plastic it's possible it will become dirty when in a dirty environment. Our warehouses and shipping stations are kept clean so plastic sleeves aren't necessary.
- Plastic sleeves are not free, and since they don't serve much purpose to us we choose not to pay for them.
- Plastic sleeves create extra waste and are not environmentally friendly.
- We stack our t-shirts on picking carts and on warehouse shelves and plastic sleeves make it nearly impossible to stack the tees.
- We bear all responsibility for getting the t-shirts delivered undamaged, so if a shirt gets damaged we replace it. So all the risk is on us and none of it is on our customer.
